About

Since first grade, I wanted to be a writer. I work in multiple genres: fiction, poetry, and creative nonfiction. For the past 12 years I have been a full time lecturer in college composition, creative writing, and literature at Widener University. I am also the founder of Spruce Alley Press and editor of Turk’s Head Review.

As a professional freelancer, I have produced work as a copywriter, editor, technical writer, proofreader, book and music reviewer, feature writer, and journalist for web and print publications. To discuss how I can meet your writing needs, fill out the contact form below.

  1. I have a copy of “The Call of the Wild” by Jack London, A Magnum Easy Eye Book, 1967 published by Lancer Books, Inc. The number is 13-403. I saw that you said the prefix 13 indicated a price of 60 cents; my copy is listed as 95 cents, however. But I am looking for an ISBN, would you have any ideas about this? I’m building a library database, and trying to fill in the gaps.

I’m Day One new on this Google circles bs, I don’t understand why it has to be made so difficult just to drop someone a comment, been at this for an hour now…if I can get this to post, T.I.A. for your assistance!

  2. Thomas, I think the Magnum Easy Eye books predate the ISBN numbering system. None of mine have those numbers. A brief search of the history of the ISBN’s shows that it was adopted as a standard in 1970. The Magnum Easy Eyes were more late 1960’s (not sure when they stopped publishing them).

    Thanks for the inquiry!
